What is a Christian? |
| |
| |
The simplest, most frequently stated and most incorrect answer to the question “what is a Christian?” is in fact a person who believes in the word of Jesus Christ and the Holy Bible. |
| |
While there are many doctrines of Christianity that are constructed on the basis of interpretations of the life and words of Jesus, Jesus himself is absolutely and unequivocally clear about what it means to be a Christian. Anything else is pure conjecture and orthodoxy built up over the millennia. |
| |
In one of the clear consistencies across all of the four recognized gospels of the New Testament, Jesus states that to be a true follower of a universal God is to be a follower in “action”, not simply someone who parrots acts of faith, yet has no heart or love of fellow human beings. |
| |
In this sense, Jesus at the time of his life was a thorough revolutionary against the orthodoxy of doctrine and of “going through the motions of piety” in worship, while actually behaving without charity or respect for the rest of ones’ life. Many of his speeches and many of his parables all seek to drive this message home. |
| |
In a consistency across the official Gospels and those much older texts considered unofficial, written by many of the disciples and Jesus himself, Jesus considers the God of the Old Testament and practices of outward piety of the old ways are mere superstitition and inferior to a universally loving God. |
| |
This is in complete contradiction to the superstititions of Paul of Tarsus (St. Paul), the strange forced connection of the Old Testament to the New Testament, against the teachings and wishes of Jesus and the historic and unprecedented evil actions of christian church leaders over the millenia. |
| |
To be a christian is to be a follower of Paul, not Jesus |
| |
Whether a person realizes it or not, to be a Christian is to be a follower of Paul of Tarsus (St. Paul) and the Sadducee High Priests that formed Christianity, not Jesus. |
| |
To be a Christian therefore is to be ignorant of these historic facts that Paul created the religion, not Jesus and that the religion has nothing to do with ensuring the perpetuation of peace, wisdom and universal love preached by Jesus, but control and continued orthodoxy of the same Jewish High Priests that sought to have Jesus and his whole family killed. |
| |
The evidence of these facts is overwhelming in the history of the christian church - a history of wholesale evil against humanity that even today they seek to hide, excuse and push away. |
| |
The evidence is even open to every person in the way in which Christians are taught to focus in on passages of the Old Testament and superstitions, in complete defiance of the message of Jesus and then skipping to the message of Paul also speaking of supernatural and supertititious beliefs, while the actions and message of Jesus is considered the least important sections of the Bible. |
| |
The evidence of just what the Christian church refuses to accept as gospels is also telling as to who first founded Christianity. For the greatest words and teachings of Jesus are to be found in the oldest texts refering to Jesus in the gnostic gospels, sacred scriptures that have been excluded from official doctrine for 2,000 years. |
| |
Of course, it is easy to dismiss such evidence and claims and that is precisely what christian leaders continue to do- dismiss such claims with sweeping denials. Given the worship of ignorance by many Christian congregations and the supertitious "danger" associated with historical truth, even in the 21st Century, most Christians still believe Jesus was the founder of Christianity and everything that has been discussed is a horrible lie. |
