What is a Nazarene/Gnostic?

One of the most recent positionings by Christian scholars is to imply Gnostics as a radical sect of christianity- this is an absolute lie.

A Gnostic and indeed the first faith of the Nazarenes (truth seekers) considered themselves ther true followers of Jesus Christ on the basis that Jesus wrote the base set of Gnostic literature later expanded by Gnostic philosophers.

Nazarenes never saw themselves as Christians and in fact saw Christianity as an evil twin deliberately created to destroy the anti-establishment message of Jesus- to hides its message and consume it by misrepresenting Jesus across the ancient world.

Nazarenes and Gnostics were anti-violence, were (and are) vegetarian and essentially austere with their possessions- valuing knowledge above wealth.
Above all things a Nazarene and a Gnostic were romantics and dreamers, believing that men would aspire to knowledge and wisdom, that no one would be so evil as to murder innocent people trying to emulate Jesus.

Such naivety is a hallmark of the history of gnosticism as countless groups of gnostics throughout the ages wrongly believed the church would not harm them in their austere efforts to be more like Jesus. The opposite was true.

The christian churches have never traditionally allowed people to live in austere and holy life until the past two hundred years when many groups found safety in new lands such as America. In Europe however, no example of a gnostic or austere Nazarene-type group appears to have survived prior to the 1950's.
