Chapter 15-Modern Judaism |
| |
1. |
Modern Judaism is essentially the Pharisee framework with the added mysteries and wisdom of the Essenes through the oral tradition as added by John the Baptist.
2. |
Modern Judaism is a wonderfully enlightened religion that advocates a respect for knowledge and an appreciation of the world.
3. |
It is a religion however, that does not know its heritage and is unwilling to dig too deep into it for fear of what might be revealed. Hence the rise un ultra-orthodoxy which seeks to deny the truth and evidence that we can see with our eyes and think with our minds.
4. |
This is a great tragedy, for to understand the real history behind the evolution of the Pharisee movement towards modern Judaism and its battles with evil sects of Judaism such as the Sadducees is a history that has formed and continues to form our world today.
5. |
In a sense, the events that culminated in the destruction of the Temple of Herod have been encased in a spiritual and historic time capsule and the openly accepted knowledge of events and their significance have remained stuck in that time.
6. |
At some point that time capsule has to be broken and investigated.
7. |
At some point, the events leading up to and including the destruction of the Temple in 70 CE have to be openly discussed and understood.
8. |
And in that discussion, much of what has happened since may very well be put into a proper perspective.
9. |
Finally, the primary enemies of the Pharisees, the dynastic Sadducee families that still exist today might finally be vanquished forever.
