Of the three groups, Sephardi are historically the oldest in terms of conversion to Judaism and priestly bloodlines - greater than 1,500 years ago. They claim their heritage directly as refugees from the Jewish wars to Spain, Portugal and France in the 2nd the 3rd centuries CE.
